What an incredible Vietnamese dining experience! Every dish we ordered was packed with authentic flavor and made with fresh, high-quality ingredients. The pho was outstanding—the broth was rich, deeply flavorful, and clearly simmered with care. The meat was tender, the noodles were perfectly cooked, and the fresh herbs on the side added the perfect finishing touch. The grilled pork patties with vermicelli were equally amazing. The patties were juicy, smoky, and full of flavor, and paired perfectly with the fresh vegetables, herbs, and dipping sauce. Every bite tasted fresh and balanced. Beyond the food, the portions were generous, the restaurant was clean and welcoming, and the service was friendly and attentive. This is easily one of the best Vietnamese restaurants I’ve visited. If you’re looking for authentic Vietnamese cuisine done right, this place is a must-try. I’ll definitely be coming back!

I came here because I was attracted by the photo advertising the new Bun Bo Hue Beef Short Rib. The picture shows a bowl loaded with ingredients and toppings, making it look hearty and substantial. What I received looked completely different. The bowl only had a single short rib and far fewer ingredients than what was shown in the promotional photo. It felt misleading compared to the advertisement. On top of that, the banner outside advertised the dish at $16.25, but I was charged $16.95 instead. Since the portion was so small, I ended up adding a meatball for another $5 just to feel full. For nearly $22 after the add-on, the value simply wasn’t there. I don’t mind paying for good food, but I do expect the menu photos, advertised prices, and actual portions to reasonably match what customers receive. Very disappointing experience.

Pho John is incredible. You can tell they have a deep care and pride for their food. The broth, the fresh noodles and the meats are all of highest quality. Nothing is an afterthought. The portions are generous and even though I was getting full, I continued eating just because it was so good. If I lived out in the bay area I would be a weekly customer. This is the bar I will use to compare all other pho spots i go to

In search of a place for dinner that’s open past 8pm in the area, we stumbled upon Pho John being still open! They also had a big sign for Bun Bo Hue out front so we decided to order that and we are so glad we did! It was so big in portion and the broth was delicious!! Highly recommend this place for the Bun Bo Hue alone but I’ll have to come back to try the other menu items and the wonderful service!

Pho John was highly recommended by my family so of course, I had to give it a try on this cold and rainy day. Absolutely fantastic!!! We ordered oxtail and beef pho, crispy tofu rice, and crispy noodles. The portions are generous, piping hot fresh, and the only complaint I have is not having enough room in my tummy to eat all of the delicious food that is served. The highlight of my first visit is the customer service - superb. From the moment you walk in, you are greeted with a warm smile and good morning/afternoon, given warm house tea (delicious), and when I shared that this was my first visit, they asked about our preferences, offered options, and truly made us feel welcome. When I saw the karaoke area, I know this restaurant has to be an absolute blast during dinner. Will definitely be returning.
